SAVE A DOG RESCUE SPAY/NEUTER (Fixing/Altering)
Definitions & Requirements:
READ AND ENTER THE REQUIRED INFO TO COMPLETE YOUR ADOPTION APPLICATION. YOU SHOULD BE REDIRECTED TO YOUR APPLICATION ONCE YOU COMPLETE THIS FORM.
For the sake of clarification, the following defined terms are used interchangeably; however, all these terms basically mean the same thing:
A female dog is “Spayed” and can be called a “Spay”.
A male dog is “Neutered” and can be called a “Neuter”.
Neuter is a non-gender term and can refer to either a spayed female or a neutered male.
Neutered, male or female dogs are also sometimes labeled “Altered” and /or “Fixed”.
Your dog’s adoption is NOT FINAL until AFTER your dog has has been neutered or spayed and the paperwork for such has been provided to Save a Dog Rescue.
Dogs in the Save A Dog Rescue adoption process are to be fixed between 4 - 5 months of age. The cost for having your dog fixed is included in your adoption fee. If your new dog is not yet fixed, you must have this done before the dog is 5 months old. Save A Dog Rescue will make your dog’s appointment for the surgery at our own vet. This is one reason why we ask that you please keep in touch with Save a Dog Rescue. If you fail to stay in contact, we will still make your dog’s vet appointment to be fixed and will pick up the dog to take it to it’s appointment, and/or possibly reclaim the dog for failure to follow our protocol. If you want, you may have the dog fixed at your own vet, however, if you do, you will not be reimbursed for any amount you spend, as this cost is already included the adoption fee. It is important for you to stay in contact with us, until at least, after the time when your dog is to be fixed and this agreement has been fulfilled.
Your adoption will not be approved without this agreement.
Typing your initials in this box indicates that you have read the above Spay/Neuter (fixing/altering), statement and that you agree to the conditions in full.
